The Day Without X[]
If you use any desktop-oriented distribution of GNU/Linux which uses the X server, which virtually all Linux-based GUIs depend on, would you be able to survive one full day without using X? Linux offers a wide assortment of CLI programs. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to look up stuff online, read your email, look at pictures, watch movies and listen to music on a TTY.

Even if you don't enjoy being without X as much as you enjoy using X, programs for Linux do exist which allow you to get meaningful work done on a day without X.
